1st Carbon Neutral extra virgin olive oils in the world

Climate Change is a reality that demands a higher level of responsibility from all of us. GAEA, recognizing the severity of this issue, has minimized its impact on the climate by completing a unique initiative to offset the carbon emissions of its olive oil products in co-operation with the Swiss organization myclimate.

This way, our GAEA olive oils have become Carbon Neutral, meaning that they have no negative impact on the environment. GAEA cooperated with myclimate in order to calculate the carbon emissions that are produced throughout the life-cycle of olive oil.

This certification tops Gaea’s olive oils as the 1st Carbon Neutral Olive Oils Worldwide and at the same time they are the 1st Carbon Neutral consumer products in Greece.

Gaea recently introduced its olives in a unique and innovative packaging: Olives in Snack Pack

The olives are packed under modified atmosphere, while the packaging is re -sealable, allowing repeated safe openings and closings. The product is 100% natural, sun ripened and handpicked and has low salinity, without any use of preservatives or additives.

The basic idea for this packaging is transforming the use of olives from an appetizer or an ingredient to a dish, into a healthy snack (dry product, absence of liquids, that usually makes it uneasy on the spot) that everyone can easily enjoy in every aspect of a modern lifestyle, at work, in school, pick nick etc.

The healthy aspect of the product is based on its low salinity levels, without any use of preservatives or additives.
